5 Hits for Curve Anthony Wednesday, August 20th , 2025 Roman Anthony was at the head of a Altoona hit parade at People's Natural Gas Field. The left fielder went to the plate 6 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Curve to a nice 22-4 victory over the Binghamton Rumble Ponies. "I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Anthony told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today." Rumble Ponies skipper said later that the club gave up "too much plate." "Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Roman Anthony singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. Anthony is batting .353 this season in 116 games with 8 home runs, 64 RBIs and 82 runs scored. He has 156 hits in 442 at-bats. |
