Akron's Anderson AA NE Star of the Week Monday, September 15th , 2025 Akron fans have something to crow about today as Akron first baseman Max Anderson nabbed the Double-A Northeast Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Anderson. He posted a .714 average (10-for-14) this past week with 1 home run, 5 RBIs, and 5 runs scored. This season, Anderson has hit at a .333 clip with 89 RBIs, 9 home runs and 59 runs scored. |
