Hits Galore: White Drills 5 Hits Monday, September 22nd , 2025 Tommy White of the Sea Dogs was unstoppable in his team's 13-1 victory over the Erie SeaWolves at Hadlock Field. He battered them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. "Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Portland first baseman after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-5 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will." Tommy White hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 6th and singled in the 8th. So far this season, White is hitting .244 with 8 home runs, 50 RBIs and 58 runs scored. He has 104 hits in 427 at-bats and a .316 OBP. |
