Altoona Stops Yorke Hit Streak Sunday, July 6th , 2025 Lady Luck was not on the side of Nick Yorke or his teammates at People's Natural Gas Field. Everything went the way of the Altoona Curve, who not only came away with the 7-2 victory over Bowie, but also held Yorke hitless in 2 at-bats to put an end to his 22-game hitting streak. "It was a good run," Yorke said afterward. "It would be much easier to take right now if we had won." This season, Yorke is hitting .364 with 108 hits, 7 home runs, 40 RBIs, scored 58 runs and played in 73 games. |
