Vasquez 5-for-6 Against Harrisburg Sunday, July 27th , 2025 It was almost a perfect day for Willy Vasquez. The Altoona third baseman displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day, but something was missing: The Curve lost to the Harrisburg Senators, 11-10. Vasquez told BNN reporters after the game that luck was "fickle." Altoona manager told the beat writers otherwise. "There was no luck today," the skipper said. "He got 5 hits because he has a solid approach to hitting and he put it all together, and we lost because the rest of us didn't put it together so well." Willy Vasquez singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 10th. On the year, Vasquez has hit .277 with 3 home runs, 44 RBIs and scored 35 runs. |
