Binghamton Snaps Caminero Streak at 22 Friday, April 25th , 2025 It just wasn't Junior Caminero's day. The New Hampshire Fisher Cats grabbed the 13-8 win over the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, but the Rumble Ponies mound staff did what nobody else could -- they stopped the 22-game hitting streak of Fisher Cats third baseman Junior Caminero. "We might have focused a bit too much on stopping Caminero," Binghamton manager commented afterward. "He had a nice hitting streak going, but the Fisher Cats have other hitters and they did their job today." To date Caminero has chalked up a .364 average with no home runs, driven in 5 runs and scored 8 times. |
