Florentino Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Clearwater Sunday, August 10th , 2025 The 22-game hitting streak is over. Lakeland Flying Tigers catcher Randy Florentino failed to get a hit against the Clearwater Threshers and had his consecutive-game hitting streak broken. The 25-year-old went 0-for-3 in his club's 3-2 victory over the Threshers at Joker Marchant Stadium. "I think I only made it to 22 games because I got lucky once or twice," he said. "So I guess I can't complain too much that I got unlucky and broke the streak." In 63 games this season, Florentino is batting .455 with 120 hits and 4 home runs. He has scored 61 runs and driven in 71. |
