Stafura 5-for-5 Against Mighty Mussels Monday, August 25th , 2025 It was a sensational day at the plate for Sammy Stafura as he led the charge to a nifty 13-3 win over the Mighty Mussels. The Lakeland second baseman was pure misery for the Fort Myers pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Stafura put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said , manager for the Mighty Mussels, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Sammy Stafura walked in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. This season in 72 games, Stafura is batting .375 with no home runs, 40 RBIs and has scored 60 times. |
