Ruiz Socks It to Cardinals, Cracks 5 Hits Wednesday, September 10th , 2025 All game long, Lakeland's Jorge Ruiz was rattling the walls at Joker Marchant Stadium and banging out base hits against the Palm Beach Cardinals. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Flying Tigers had a win, 22-3. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 21-year-old left fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Jorge Ruiz walked in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This season, Ruiz has hit at a .411 clip with 63 RBIs, 6 home runs and 95 runs scored. |
