Threshers Advance to Round 2 Thursday, September 21st , 2023 All playoffs end with joy on one side and despair on the other. Today, the Clearwater Threshers are the ones feeling overwhelmed with excitement, and the Daytona Tortugas are the ones thinking about what they could have done differently. The Threshers took a 6-2 victory at Jackie Robinson Ballpark today, which gave Clearwater a 4-2 series win. With the win, Clearwater will advance to play in the Round 2. "We aren't ready to go home yet," said Threshers second baseman Manuel Sequera, who was named series MVP. The Clearwater Threshers will play against the Tampa Tarpons in the next round. Tampa won their series against the Bradenton Marauders 4 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
