Clearwater Stops Nori Hit Streak
Monday, July 21st , 2025
For once, it was the Dunedin Blue Jays picking up the slack for Dante Nori.

The club's "offensive catalyst," as Dunedin manager has frequently called him, went uncharacteristically silent and saw his 20-game hitting streak snapped by the Clearwater Threshers. Nori was bailed out by the rest of the Blue Jays, however, who stopped the Threshers, 2-0.

The 20-year-old center fielder finished the day 0-for-3, and told reporters at the postgame press conference that "everybody did their job but me."

"Not that it was a huge problem -- we still won the game," he said with a grin. "The streak was a good run though. I'll try to start another one tomorrow."

For the year, Nori has hit .390 with 7 home runs, 64 RBIs and scored 71 runs.
