Florentino 5-for-6 for Flying Tigers Thursday, August 7th , 2025 It was a magical day at the plate for Lakeland Flying Tigers catcher Randy Florentino. The 25-year-old Florentino helped lift Lakeland to a win, 16-3, over the Daytona Tortugas at Joker Marchant Stadium. Florentino smacked 5 hits in 6 at-bats to spark his club. Randy Florentino hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, doubled in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. In the current season, Florentino has put up a .451 batting average with 114 hits, 3 home runs, 66 RBI and scored 59 runs. |
