Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Florentino Thursday, August 7th , 2025 Lakeland catcher Randy Florentino keeps on racking up hits every time he plays. His hitting streak now stands at 20 games after collecting 5 hits at Joker Marchant Stadium. The Flying Tigers earned the 16-3 victory over the Daytona Tortugas. "I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Florentino said. "I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've also been a little lucky." Randy Florentino hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, doubled in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. Florentino is batting .451 this season in 60 games with 3 home runs, 66 RBIs and 59 runs scored. He has 114 hits in 253 at-bats. |
