Flying Tigers Advance to Round 2 Monday, September 16th , 2024 All playoffs end with joy on one side and despair on the other. Today, the Lakeland Flying Tigers are the ones feeling overwhelmed with excitement, and the Bradenton Marauders are the ones thinking about what they could have done differently. The Flying Tigers took a 5-1 victory at LECOM Park today, which gave Lakeland a 4-1 series win. With the win, Lakeland will advance to play in the Round 2. "We aren't ready to go home yet," said Flying Tigers starting pitcher Jim Unknown, who was named series MVP. The Lakeland Flying Tigers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Tampa Tarpons - Jupiter Hammerheads series. Tampa leads the series 3 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
