Big Day with Bat: Kurtz 5-for-6 Friday, August 15th , 2025 Nick Kurtz did a number on the Saints in the 22-4 Scranton WB victory -- and the number was 5. The RailRiders first baseman banged out 5 hits in 6 at-bats at PNC Field to lead his club past the St. Paul Saints. "I felt good in the batter's box," he said. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Nick Kurtz flied out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 8th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. This season, Kurtz has hit 3 home runs and posted a .380 batting average. |
