Mayer Hit Streak Reaches 20 Games Wednesday, August 27th , 2025 Lehigh Valley shortstop Marcelo Mayer has extended his hitting streak to 20 straight games with a 3-for-4 day. However, the Norfolk Tides seized the 4-3 victory over the IronPigs at Harbor Park. "Disappointing," Mayer said of the outcome. Marcelo Mayer struck out in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Luis Frias in the 8th. For the season, Mayer is hitting at a .314 clip with 9 home runs, 64 RBIs and has scored 69 runs. He has 107 hits, 40 walks and a .388 on-base percentage. |
