Bats Dominate, Sweep Round 1 Thursday, September 18th , 2025 The Charlotte Knights were simply overmatched by the Louisville Bats in the Round 1. The end result was a sweep, as Louisville has cruised to the Round 2, with the final win coming at Louisville Slugger Field by a score of 8-4. "We're clicking and running on all cylinders at the moment," said Zach Dezenzo, who was named MVP of the Round 1. "We're a dangerous team when we play like this." For the series, Dezenzo hit .385 with a .429 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Louisville Bats don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Scranton WB RailRiders - Omaha Storm Chasers series. Omaha leads the series 2 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
