Clippers Prevail, as Round 1 Goes to the Wire Sunday, September 21st , 2025 It was a rousing finish to the Round 1 at Huntington Park today. The Columbus Clippers sent the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp home for the season with a 7-5 win in the decisive game of the series. The Clippers took the series 3-2. Up next on their schedule is the Round 2. Hauling in the MVP trophy was Columbus center fielder Jordyn Adams. His numbers included a .632 batting average, 5 RBIs and 7 runs. "With any luck, I'll be hoisting another one of these at the end of the Round 2," he said. The Columbus Clippers will play against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in the next round. Lehigh Valley won their series against the Syracuse Mets 3 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
