Jumbo Shrimp Alford Smacks 5 Hits Thursday, June 26th , 2025 All game long, Jacksonville's Anthony Alford was rattling the walls at 121 Financial Park and banging out base hits against the Louisville Bats. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Jumbo Shrimp had a win, 15-14. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 30-year-old left fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Anthony Alford singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. So far this season, Alford is batting .299 with 14 home runs. |
