Garcia Jr. Sizzles with 25-Game Batting Streak Friday, June 27th , 2025 Luis Garcia Jr. of the Toledo Mud Hens extended his hitting streak to 25 straight games with 3 hits in today's 5-4 triumph over the Gwinnett Stripers at Fifth Third Ballpark. "Luis has been making it easy for me to pencil his name in the lineup every day," Mud Hens manager joked after the game. Luis Garcia Jr. grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 8th, hit an RBI single in the 9th and walked in the 11th. Garcia Jr. is batting .438 this year with 11 home runs, 50 RBIs and 52 runs scored. He has 92 hits in 210 at-bats. |
