Pratto Socks It to Redbirds, Cracks 5 Hits Thursday, May 16th , 2024 Nick Pratto exploded for a barrage of base hits at NBT Bank Stadium. The Syracuse first baseman had a field day in his team's 8-5 triumph over the Memphis Redbirds, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Pratto must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Nick Pratto singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 7th. Hitting .371 to date, Pratto has 5 home runs and 35 RBIs. He has played in 32 games. |
