5-for-5 Game for Castro Thursday, May 23rd , 2024 It was a great day at the plate for Willi Castro. For his Toledo Mud Hens, the day was not nearly as good. The left fielder collected 5 hits in 5 tries, but his club still came up short in the win column. The Louisville Bats snatched the victory, topping the Mud Hens by a score of 9-8. "Well that wasn't how it was supposed to end," Castro said later. "I'll just have to do it again and get it right." Willi Castro singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. Castro is batting .333 this season in 39 games with 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and 27 runs scored. He has 51 hits in 153 at-bats. |
