Buffalo's Rivas Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Wednesday, July 17th , 2024 It was a parade of hits for Alfonso Rivas of the Buffalo Bisons at Sahlen Field. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Rivas finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Bisons to a win, 16-0. "Rivas was really good and we were really bad," groaned Storm Chasers manager . "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Alfonso Rivas singled in the 1st, hit a three-run double in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.
