Thrice Is Nice: Caminero Unloads 3 Homers Tuesday, July 30th , 2024 Whatever Junior Caminero ate for breakfast before his game against the Gwinnett Stripers, it gave him some impressive power. The Buffalo second baseman smacked three balls up and out of the park at Coolray Field. His home run barrage helped the Bisons defeat the Stripers, 20-2. "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day, he went 6-for-7, scored 5 times, drove in 8 and put on a display that history will remember. Junior Caminero hit an RBI single in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Garrett Crochet in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 6th, singled in the 7th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. For the year, Caminero is batting .320 with 28 home runs. |
