Caminero Bashes 6 Base Hits Tuesday, July 30th , 2024 No matter what the Gwinnett Stripers threw at him, Junior Caminero hit it. He easily handled Stripers pitching, going 6 for 7 and helping the Bisons triumph, 20-2, at Coolray Field. "The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Caminero's quip, Stripers skipper said he "would take him up on that next time." Junior Caminero hit an RBI single in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Garrett Crochet in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 6th, singled in the 7th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. Caminero's current batting average stands at .320 and he has chalked up 28 home runs and 92 RBIs. |
