Diaz Blasts 3 out of the Park Thursday, April 24th , 2025 Fans seated in the bleacher section at Harbor Park were taking cover all day long as Jordan Diaz zeroed in on them, rattling three long blasts off the seats in a display of Herculean power. The big game from the Lehigh Valley first baseman helped the IronPigs take the victory, 14-4, over the Norfolk Tides. "I told myself not to press on the last one," he told reporters in the postgame press conference. "I knew I couldn't force it -- it has to be a nice easy swing." For the game, he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats, drove in 6 and scored 3 runs. Jordan Diaz hit a two-run home run off Trevor Martin in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 5th, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 9th. Thus far this season in 10 games, Diaz is batting .419 with 5 home runs, 15 RBIs and 12 runs scored. He has 18 hits in 43 at-bats. |
