Eder Hurls No-Hitter
Friday, August 30th , 2024
In a dominant outing, Jake Eder of the Rochester Red Wings totally silenced the bats of the Indianapolis Indians, finishing with a no-hitter.
In the 20-0 victory, Eder faced only 28 batters, surrendered no hits, had 12 strikeouts and 1 walk.
"Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Rochester manager said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any."
Commenting on the defeat, losing manager told reporters in the clubhouse that he had a "simple" analysis of the game.
"The Red Wings had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Eder pitched a heck of a ballgame."
To date this season, Eder has a record of 14 wins and 1 loss and a 2.75 ERA. He has appeared in 27 games and struck out 180 in 150.1 innings.
