Cubs Heading to Round 2 Thursday, September 12th , 2024 The Iowa Cubs will continue the trek towards a Round 3 title, while the Norfolk Tides are headed home for the season. Iowa won the Round 1 with a clinching game 7-0 victory at Harbor Park, concluding the series at 3-1. "We didn't want this thing to go any further, that's for sure," Corey Ray said after officially being named series MVP. He turned in a dominant offensive performance to win the award, with a .467 batting average, .529 on-base percentage, 5 home runs, 9 RBI and 5 runs scored. The Iowa Cubs will play against the Charlotte Knights in the next round. Charlotte won their series against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs 3 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
