Bisons Advance to Round 2 Thursday, September 12th , 2024 The Buffalo Bisons took time to celebrate with the Buffalo fans who stuck around after the game, following the team's Round 1 triumph over the Scranton WB RailRiders. Members of the Bisons hung around chatting, high-fiving and taking pictures with the Buffalo fans in attendance at PNC Field, long after the last pitch had been thrown in their 4-2 win to seal the series 3-1. "We've got great fan support," said right fielder Alexander Canario. "Whether we're at home or on the road, the fans support us. So we wanted to show them how important that is to us. Some Scranton WB fans that were there even congratulated us on the win." For the series, Canario hit .375 with a .412 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, 6 RBI and scored 4 runs. Things weren't so cordial on the RailRiders side of things. Their clubhouse was closed to media after the game and all players and coaches quickly dressed and left the stadium after the end to their season. The Buffalo Bisons will play against the Columbus Clippers in the next round. Columbus won their series against the Rochester Red Wings 3 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
