Skeeters End Tovar's Streak Thursday, August 17th , 2023 The Sugar Land Skeeters pitching staff did its job today, holding hot-hitting Ezequiel Tovar hitless in 4 at-bats during the club's 1-0 victory over the Albuquerque Isotopes at Constellation Field. The disappointing performance ended a 21-game hitting streak for the shortstop. "I'm a little down right now," Tovar said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." Tovar is currently hitting at a .321 pace with 11 home runs and 57 RBIs. |
