Hit Streak Now at 20 for Perkins Saturday, August 2nd , 2025 Chalk up another one for Sugar Land Skeeters center fielder Blake Perkins. He now has hit in 20 straight games. Perkins went 2-for-5 in today's game at Dell Diamond but saw his club defeated, 21-9, by the host Round Rock Express. "Playing on the road always makes it harder to get hits and to get wins," Skeeters manager said after the game. "We got one of the two, but unfortunately it was the wrong one." Blake Perkins struck out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jack Kochanowicz in the 7th and singled in the 9th. In this current campaign Perkins is hitting at a .358 clip with 8 home runs and 40 RBIs. |
