Bang-up Game: Velazquez Slams 3 Homers

Nelson Velazquez was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 22-0 Sacramento River Cats triumph at Sutter Health Park.
The 25-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the River Cats past the Reno Aces.
"One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Velazquez told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate."
The right fielder went 4-for-4, rung up 6 RBIs and scored 4 runs on his record-setting day.
Nelson Velazquez hit a solo-shot off Eric Lauer in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 4th and hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 6th.
On the year, Velazquez is hitting .322 with 73 hits, 19 home runs, 48 RBIs, .421 OBP and has scored 40 runs.
