Star of the Week Honored in AAA W Monday, June 24th , 2024 Nelson Velazquez of the Sacramento River Cats put the finishing touch on an exceptional week of play by being named the Triple-A West Player of the Week. He rocked the opposition with a .414 batting average, 12 hits in 29 at-bats, 5 home runs and 13 RBIs while scoring 7 times. Looking at his stats this year, Velazquez has compiled a .324 batting average, while hitting 20 home runs and driving in 54 runs. He has played in 63 games and scored 42 runs. |
