AAA W's Best Player Named Monday, July 22nd , 2024 One of the league's most exciting young players, Nelson Velazquez of the Sacramento River Cats earned himself Triple-A West Player of the Week honors with a standout performance in last week's games. For the week the 25-year-old right fielder had a lofty .458 average (11-for-24), collecting 5 home runs, 11 RBIs and 9 runs scored. To date Velazquez has chalked up a .314 average with 29 home runs, driven in 77 runs and scored 58 times. |
