The Rainiers third baseman banged out 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Constellation Field to lead his club past the Sugar Land Skeeters. "I felt good in the batter's box," he said. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Casey Schmitt hit a solo-shot off Josh Fleming in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. So far this year, Schmitt is batting .337 with 16 home runs, 89 RBIs and 57 runs scored. |
