Ockimey on Fire, Named Player of the Week Monday, August 12th , 2024 At the age of 28, Josh Ockimey might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Salt Lake first baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .524 batting average. For his efforts Ockimey collected the Triple-A West Player of the Week Award. He racked up 11 hits in 21 at-bats, 3 home runs and 15 RBIs last week in 6 games. This year, Ockimey is batting .295 with 107 hits and 26 home runs. He has scored 69 times and has batted in 90 runs. |
