Cerda Blisters Tacoma Saturday, April 26th , 2025 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Allan Cerda -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park and paced the 14-11 Isotopes win over the Tacoma Rainiers. After his dynamite batting performance, the Albuquerque center fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. Allan Cerda hit a three-run home run off Zach McCambley in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Cerda is currently batting .455 with 5 home runs, 11 runs scored and 14 RBIs. His OBP is .581. |
