#1 Player Named by Triple-A West Tuesday, October 1st , 2024 Rowdy Tellez of the Albuquerque Isotopes proved that you can step out of the shadows and onto the stage if you've got the talent and the drive to hone your skills. Hard work, long hours and a tireless resolve paid off for him today in the form of the Triple-A West Most Valuable Player Award. Tellez hit for a .348 average while collecting 178 hits, 43 doubles, no triples, 47 home runs, 149 RBIs and scoring 128 times. He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Josh Smith of the Albuquerque Isotopes finished second in voting, while Kyle Stowers of the Sugar Land Skeeters finished third.
