Marte Torches Barons for 5 Hits Monday, May 5th , 2025 It was a high-five day for Noelvi Marte, at least for a while. The Mississippi third baseman got plenty of them from his teammates when he reached the five-hit milestone during today's game against the Birmingham Barons, but they were in short supply at the end, as Birmingham won the game, 8-7. Marte finished with an impressive 5-for-7 line, but the Braves couldn't hold off the Barons. "Noelvi was hitting everything," said Braves manager . "It's too bad the other guys couldn't rise to the occasion." Noelvi Marte hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th, grounded out in the 10th and struck out in the 13th. Marte is currently batting .301 with 3 home runs and 12 RBIs. |
