Pensacola Defeats Tennessee Thursday, October 2nd , 2025 The Pensacola faithful were cheering in the streets, and Tennessee fans wiping away the tears, after the Blue Wahoos won the Round 2 at Blue Wahoos Stadium today. The Blue Wahoos clinched it by knocking off the Smokies 2-1 to take their 2nd Double-A South crown. Pensacola took the series 4-1. "This club never gave up all year long," Pensacola manager told the press. "They believed they could win the title and they did." On the way to the Round 2 title, Pensacola compiled a 77-63 won-loss record and finished second in the South Division. "We just didn't play well enough to win," Smokies manager said. "We just didn't make the big plays like they did." |
