AA S Pitcher of the Month Goes to Smith-Shawver Sunday, June 1st , 2025 Over the past month AJ Smith-Shawver has turned quite a few heads. He's young, talented and able to pitch with the established arms in the Double-A South. He proved all that and now he's been named May's Pitcher of the Month. The rookie for the Mississippi Braves posted 5-0 mark and a 1.80 ERA. In 6 starts he tossed 35 innings, permitted 19 hits and fanned 54 batters. To date this season, Smith-Shawver is 6-0 with 9 starts and an ERA of 2.04 with 77 strikeouts in 53 innings. |
