Martinez Belts Bunch of Base Hits Wednesday, July 23rd , 2025 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Angel Martinez. Martinez went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Tennessee pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Smokies Stadium, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Montgomery Biscuits had a win, 11-10, over the Smokies. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Angel Martinez singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. Martinez is currently batting .346 with 6 home runs and 41 RBIs. |
