Howard Whiffs 15, Tulsa Tops Corpus Christi Tuesday, May 13th , 2025 Led by an outstanding performance from starter Spencer Howard, the Tulsa Drillers topped the Corpus Christi Hooks by a score of 3-2 at ONEOK Field. The 28-year-old Howard brought his top game to the mound, striking out 15 batters while allowing 2 hits and giving up 1 walk. "He made a lot of good pitches out there," Hooks manager said. "He made some of our guys look bad. We didn't help matters, but we really have to give him credit -- he didn't make many mistakes." On his stats sheet for the year Howard shows a 2-2 record, 6 starts, 35.1 innings, 64 strikeouts and a 2.55 ERA. |
