Triantos Batters Frisco for 5 Hits
Tuesday, June 24th , 2025
There are moments in a player's career that they will not soon forget.
James Triantos of the Wichita Wind Surge had one such moment at Riverfront Stadium, when he went 5 for 5 at the plate. His hitting heroics weren't enough to pull out the victory, however, and Wichita succumbed to defeat, 4-1, to the Frisco RoughRiders.
"This was quite a day for me individually, but a little disheartening at the same time," the 22-year-old center fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "It would have been very special if we had won the game."
James Triantos hit a solo-shot off Junior Santos in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
In his season totals, Triantos has 3 home runs, .310 BA, .370 OBP, 32 RBIs and 44 runs scored. He has played in 60 games.
