Sod Poodles Alcantara Named AA C's #1 Player Monday, July 14th , 2025 One of the league's most exciting young players, Kevin Alcantara of the Amarillo Sod Poodles earned himself Double-A Central Player of the Week honors with a standout performance in last week's games. For the week the 23-year-old right fielder had a lofty .519 average (14-for-27), collecting 1 home run, 10 RBIs and 9 runs scored. This season, Alcantara is batting .310 with 101 hits, 7 home runs, 45 RBIs, 27 walks, .372 OBP and has scored 40 runs. He has played in 79 games. |
