Bernal on Fire: 5-for-5 for Northwest Arkansas Tuesday, April 22nd , 2025 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Leonardo Bernal is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Frisco RoughRiders at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. The monster effort from the 21-year-old catcher helped the Northwest Arkansas Naturals get the win, 5-4. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said RoughRiders manager . "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Leonardo Bernal singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th. For the year, Bernal is batting .407 with no home runs, 5 RBIs and 4 runs scored. |
