Williamson Touches All the Bases, Hits for Cycle
Sunday, September 14th , 2025
Getting 4 hits is a good day by any measure, but when those include a single, double, triple and a home run -- that's something special. Ben Williamson's day was a special one.
The second baseman hit for the cycle to spark the 23-5 Vancouver Canadians victory over the Eugene Emeralds at Nat Bailey Stadium. Vancouver manager said he thought the whole lineup looked good in batting practice, but had not been expecting anything extraordinary from Williamson in particular.
"Ben caught me by surprise today," the skipper said. "He looked good before the game, but man, he looked unbelievable during it."
For the day, Williamson finished with 8 RBI and 4 runs scored to go with his 4 hits.
Ben Williamson singled in the 1st, hit a three-run double in the 2nd, was hit by a pitch in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 5th, hit a three-run triple in the 6th, flied out in the 6th and was hit by a pitch in the 8th.
To date, Williamson has collected 197 hits for a .372 average. He has posted 18 home runs, scored 145 runs and driven in 122 runs.
