Smith Socks It to Indians, Cracks 6 Hits

Cam Smith was sizzling at the plate. In a game played at Nat Bailey Stadium, the Vancouver third baseman blistered the Spokane Indians for 6 hits in 7 at-bats to pace his club to a good 23-3 victory.
"Smith was too tough to get out," Indians skipper said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."
Cam Smith hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th and struck out in the 7th.
Smith is currently hitting at a .307 pace with 17 home runs and 91 RBIs.
