Vancouver Tops Eugene Thursday, September 18th , 2025 The Vancouver Canadians rolled over the Eugene Emeralds 9-2 at PK Park to easily win the 2025 Round 1 crown. Vancouver won in a walk and swept the series from the Emeralds 4-0. It was their 2nd championship title. Winning manager praised his own club as well as the opposition, calling the Emeralds "a fine team." "It wasn't as easy as it looked. We had to play good baseball to beat them," he said. "We always seemed to come up with the key hit at the right time and to make the plays on defense when we had to. That's how you win the Round 1." The Canadians took first place in the High-A West and rounded out the year with a 127-13 record. |
