Williamson Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Spokane
Monday, June 30th , 2025
Vancouver Canadians second baseman Ben Williamson finally met his Waterloo.
A 22-game hitting spree is now history after Williamson was unable to make anything happen in 1 at-bat today against the Spokane Indians. Fortunately for Williamson and the Canadians, the rest of his team had enough in their bats to win the game, 4-0.
"We're a true team here," he said. "For 22 games I've been able to contribute, but I always believed these guys would take care of things if I couldn't some day."
At present, Williamson is batting .397 with 108 hits and 9 home runs. He has knocked in 64 runs and scored 80 times.
